Robotic Spray Application

Grand Rapids Foam Technologies is one of the largest custom polyurethane molders in North America. To better meet their customer’s needs, GRFT also provides customized services which include product development, assembly, upholstery, packaging and distribution. It was an assembly operation that brought GRFT and Criterion together. In order to properly apply fabric to foam cushions, glue had to be applied in a consistent pattern. Criterion and GRFT worked together to create a robotic spray cell that delivered the proper amount of glue in the exact location every time.
